ABSTRACT
This commission entails the design and construction of a new contemporary villa located in the municipality of Corte Franca, situated within the renowned Franciacorta wine region, celebrated for its prestigious sparkling wine production.
The primary objective of the project is to maximize and celebrate the panoramic views over the valley and the vineyard-covered hillsides. In direct response to the client’s brief, spatial and visual permeability toward the surrounding landscape is established as the project’s conceptual and experiential core.
The architectural composition is conceived as a dialogue between built form and nature. Generous glazed surfaces, strategically oriented terraces, and fluid indoor-outdoor transitions dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing the landscape to become an integral part of the living experience. Particular attention is given to framing specific views—capturing the gentle topography, the orderly geometry of the vineyards, and the soft light of the Franciacorta terroir.
The villa is conceived not merely as an object placed within the landscape, but as a vantage point—a quiet, immersive observatory from which to experience the rhythm and beauty of the Franciacorta hills.
