ABSTRACT
This commission entails the architectural design and construction of two new single-family villas, conceived as an integrated residential expansion adjacent to an existing parental home. A key feature of the proposal is a fully enclosed connective structure that physically and visually unites the three volumes—bridging the original villa with the two new residences intended for the clients’ offspring.
In keeping with the clients’ brief, the architectural language adopts a classical aesthetic infused with contemporary sensibility. Materiality plays a central role, with extensive use of premium-grade marble and select fine woods, articulated with refined craftsmanship throughout.
Externally, the composition is characterized by colonnaded porticoes and loggias, strategically oriented to capture unobstructed views of the Italian Alps. These transitional spaces mediate between interior and landscape, enhancing the experiential connection to the natural surroundings.
Internally, the design features custom-designed wooden boiserie, executed in a classical vocabulary. These wall treatments lend continuity, acoustic comfort, and tactile warmth to the living environments, reinforcing an atmosphere of understated elegance.
The project balances heritage-inspired formality with modern spatial planning, achieving a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.
