ABSTRACT
This project involves the complete demolition of an existing 1950s villa and its faithful reconstruction according to contemporary architectural standards, capitalizing on a privileged hillside position overlooking Lake Garda.
The site offers exceptional panoramic views stretching across the entire lake basin to the Veronese shoreline, making the visual relationship between architecture and landscape the central theme of the design.
In response to the client’s brief, a restrained and subtle material palette was adopted, dominated by soft, neutral tones selected to harmonize with the surrounding natural environment and minimize visual impact on the lakefront landscape.
Particular attention was devoted to the design of the garden, conceived not merely as a corollary to the architecture but as an integral component of the living experience. The outdoor spaces are carefully choreographed to frame views, mediate between built form and topography, and provide intimate areas for repose and social gathering.
The resulting villa is both discreet and distinctive—a contemporary dwelling that respects the beauty of its setting while offering its inhabitants a dialogue between modern comfort and the timeless allure of Lake Garda.
